The Thrill of Exploration.

‘Exploration is really the essence of the human spirit.’ – Frank Borman This awesome quote by astronaut Frank Borman may have referred to the exploration of space, but we can easily relate this sentiment to life closer here to Earth.  I know as a child I often spent time looking at the world map on my bedroom wall, dreaming of all the places I could explore. Unfortunately, like many people, this dream was easily lost in the daily grind I found myself in. The juggling of work and personal responsibilities can easily eat up our lives, and even when you love what you do, before you know it all your time and energy is spent treading water just to get it all done. To save time we prescreen everything, restaurants, activities, social media profiles, taking away a lot of the surprise and exploration out of our daily life. This doesn’t leave much time to be able to discover all those experiences and places that give you those unexpected moments that really are the essence of our spirit. It is sad that a trade-off of adulthood we have had to take is the loss of the dreams of exploration we had when we were younger in exchange for a responsible life less adventurous. This is where investment of experiences that fill this void is necessary for our wellbeing and balance. An experience of exploration that invokes the embracement of the unknown and the openness to relax into the unknown and trust the journey you are undertaking. One such experience we here at Trouvaille encourage, offer and have undertaken ourselves is the small sailing ship cruise Caribbean Sail on the beautiful ship Vela with Island Windjammers (www.islandwindjammers.com) .  Embarking from St. Lucia and travelling south to Grenada you will visit a selection of different islands that include Bequia, Caiiiacou, Mayreau, Tobago Cays, and Union Island.     Cruise rates are inclusive of all onboard meals and snacks, beverages (water, juice, soda, beer, wine, and rum punch), port charges and taxes, complimentary use of snorkel gear. Trouvaille will also provide two free Caribbean books (a history book and a travel book); luggage tags; 24/7 support before, during, and after the cruise; guided tours; nightly star parties; a Trouvaille T-shirt; Dramamine; and a pirate goodie bag.
