TROUVAILLE TERMS & CONDITIONS

Trouvaille is dedicated to giving you the best experience for all of our events and trips. However, situations do arise that are beyond anyone’s control and we endeavor to accommodate our members and participants as much as possible. The following cancellation policy will take effect once you have made your trip reservation. Please read the text carefully and write to firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. Please note: We do not share your information. This is a basic binding agreement according to the terms and conditions stated here between us (the trip supplier) and you (the client). We will contact you directly for sensitive information such as your credit card and passport numbers; we will not charge your card until we have confirmed your reservation.
Event/Trip Prices. All prices for Trouvaille curated events and trips are subject to change at any time. Availability of all events and trips is also subject to change at any time, but we will do our best to accommodate customers as much as possible.
TRIP ATTENDANCE MINIMUMS
Trouvaille will conduct its planned trips when at least four paid travelers have signed up for a given trip.
Airfare is not included in trip prices but can be included as an extra cost at the request of the customer. Trouvaille will search for the lowest possible round-trip airfare for the customer from their nearest international airport or the customer can provide Trouvaille with their lowest possible price for booking. Trouvaille chooses accommodations that are suitable for both solo travelers and group travelers. For all trips, accommodations are subject to change, but any change in accommodations will be to equivalent or simiar accommodations.
Trouvaille provides travel insurance for all international trips created and run solely by Trouvaille LLC. Travel insurance for trips within the United States is not included. Trips with Trouvaille Partners will not receive paid travel insurance. Trip and event participants are responsible for their personal medical insurance and any other insurance they deem necessary for their travels. As some trips involve physical activities (e.g., hiking, swimming, etc.), participants should consider their physical capabilities before deciding to reserve a trip. If you have a medical condition, or are pregnant and considering travel, you must consult with your doctor before you travel. This is particularly important if medical conditions require daily routine care, urgent care, or your pregnancy is high risk. You are responsible for disclosing any related information, as Trouvaille will not be able to provide any medical or urgent care services in the event such services are necessary. You are liable for any risks, incidences, or consequences incurred during travel and are highly encouraged to purchase the necessary travel insurance. Trouvaille is available to answer any questions about the itineraries and activities for any trip.
It is the participant’s responsibility to have a current passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of the trip, as well as associated entry documents necessary for each country of travel. All names on documents must match the legal name on your passport and travel document information must match tickets. Entry laws differ with respect to traveler’s citizenship and Trouvaille will not be responsible for any expense or delays incurred due to a lack of required travel documentation. Trouvaille is also not responsible for the required Visas and documentation for entry and exit to/from all countries visited or transited during a trip.
At the owner’s risk. Make sure you check with your carrier as to the latest rules just prior to departure as frequent changes occur.
Trouvaille LLC, its general agents and local agents give notice that all tickets and coupons issued by them and all arrangements for transport and conveyance, or for hotel accommodations, are made by them as agents only on the expressed condition that they shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of any defect in any vehicle, or through the acts or default of proprietor or servant. The operators and/or associated companies accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in train, steamer, or other services, sickness, weather, epidemics, quarantine, strikes, war, Acts of God, or other causes. All tour itineraries may be affected by alterations in steamship, air, or railroad services of the various countries or by other causes. The rights are reserved to cancel a non-guaranteed tour prior to departure. In such cases, full refund of all payments will constitute full settlement with the passenger.
When necessary, substitutions are of similar quality standard will be provided.
Full breakfasts are included at all hotels. Lunches and/or dinners are included only where specifically listed in the itineraries. Beverages are not included.
Full payment of total tour price is due when all arrangements have been confirmed and invoiced. A Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Card is required at the time of booking to cover possible ensuing change or cancellation charges. Payment may also be made in-person with cash, check, or credit cards. Payment via PayPal will also be accepted.
CANCELLATION OF TOUR PACKAGES
The cancellation details listed below apply to all reservations.
- 7 Days prior to Departure Date: Non-refundable.
- 8-14 Days prior to Departure Date: 50% refund.
- 15-29 Days prior to Departure Date: 75% refund.
- 30 Days or more prior to Departure Date: 90% refund.
For all Trouvaille trips that last longer than two days, Trouvaille generally requires a minimum of two paid participants to allow a trip to occur. If a trip is canceled for any reason, then participants can use their trip credit for a later trip or receive a full refund. For events and situations within the control of Trouvaille, the decision on whether a trip will occur will be made no less two weeks prior to the start of a trip.
CANCELLATION FEE CALCULATION
Cancellation fees are based upon the total price paid by the customer for a trip. For example, if a customer paid a total of $3999 for a Hawaiian trip and canceled the trip 11 days before the first day of the trip, then the cancellation fee would be $1999.50. All accommodations and activities are scheduled and paid for ahead of time. Any person failing to appear on the day of departure WILL NOT be refunded. If you are asked to leave due to your behavior including, but not exclusive to, excessive use of alcohol or any use of prohibited drugs at any time during the trip you WILL NOT be refunded. If you are asked to leave due to your behavior leading to discomfort or threat to any other member of the trip, staff, and general population you WILL NOT be refunded.
We will process your written and signed cancellation within seven (7) working days. We will NOT acknowledge verbal cancellations over the phone or via voicemail messages. Simply talking to one of the Trouvaille staff will not qualify as a cancellation request. We will NOT accept email cancellations unless a scanned and signed Cancellation Request Form is attached. All cancellations must be made by filling out of and signing the provided cancellation form. Please email the cancellation form to Trouvaille at email@example.com. In the subject line, include the following: ATT: Cancellations.
CHANGES TO TOUR PACKAGES
If a customer wishes to be rebooked or to have changes in their bookings after purchase, they will incur a charge of $150 per change request. All service requests post-sale for any Trouvaille trip will incur a service charge of $100 per trip that will cover all additional activity to assist the customer on the purchased trip. NOTE: If the client chooses to make changes to tour packages while on a Trouvaille trip there will be NO REFUNDS for unused portions.
TOUR PLANNING FEE
For clients that need assistance with custom arrangements, i.e., detailed tour planning that involves products, services, and areas outside our brochure content, we offer our services at a $50 per hour planning fee, starting at a minimum of $50. The fee is non-refundable and must be pre-paid prior to any quotes being provided.
A minimum 25% deposit of total tour price is required at the time of confirmation.
The balance of the total tour price is due no later than 60 days prior to departure. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in automatic cancellation of the reservation and forfeiture of deposit.
Trip departures are guaranteed only if so stated. Non-guaranteed departures can be canceled by the operator until 4 weeks prior. In such cases we will make every effort to provide similar alternative arrangements, if not possible a full refund will be given constituting full settlement.
PARTNER TOUR COMPANIES
Tour contracts with any external partners falls under the responsibility and legal obligation of that company. Trouvaille LLC takes no responsibility for travel insurance, accommodation, travel, activities and any other requirements for these tours.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENT(S)
All credit card payments will incur a 4% transaction service charge.
DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Trouvaille LLC responsibility is strictly limited. Trouvaille LLC is not liable for any bodily injury or harm, accidents, property damage, or personal loss as a result of, but not limited to: physical exertion for which the participant was not prepared; travel by plane, train, car, bus, boat, or other mode of transportation (such as bicycle, horse, foot, kayak, etc.); consumption of alcohol; high altitudes; forces of nature such as high winds, hurricanes, flooding, etc.; heat exhaustion; equipment failure; civil unrest or terrorism; or availability of medical services in remote areas. Trouvaille LLC is also not liable for: expenses (e.g. meals, transportation, hotel costs) that are not specified as included in the price of the trip but may be required to get to/from a starting or ending point. Trouvaille LLC is not responsible for expenses incurred by travelers in preparing for the trip (e.g. non-refundable advance purchase of airline tickets, equipment, travel insurance, etc.) or for any additional travel arrangements made on your own.
ASSUMPTION OF ALL RISKS AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT
I acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate in the trip. I am voluntarily participating in this trip with the knowledge of the numerous risks and dangers involved that include but are not limited to: Physical exertion for which I am not prepared; forces of nature; transportation failures whether by plane, train, auto, boat, canoe, kayak, bicycle, horse, or other animal, or foot, or by other conveyance; consumption of alcoholic beverages; risks associated with food or impure water; civil unrest; terrorism; criminal activity; dangers associated with wild or other animals; breakdown or failure of equipment; high altitude; accident or illness without access to means of rapid evacuation or availability of medical supplies or services; the adequacy of medical attention once provided; and stolen, lost or misplaced luggage or property. I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of adventure travel is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work and that these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement and are a reason for my participation.

HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT VISA REQUIREMENTS?

If you are not a U.S. citizen, then please consult your home country visa requirements. Trouvaille will assist people requiring visa assistance as much as is possible, but it is the responsibility of the participant to acquire the necessary passport and/or visa documents prior to the conduct of a Trouvaille trip.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TRIP IS RIGHT FOR ME?
This is a personal question and depends on your travel aspirations, goals, and desires. Different trips entail differing amounts of effort, cost, and time. Potential participants should consider their prior travel experiences, how much they are willing to travel to different countries and unfamiliar environments, how much physical activity they wish to exert, and how much they want to be around modern amenities and services vs. a more nature-oriented experience. Individuals and groups considering travel with Trouvaille are strongly encouraged to contact the Trouvaille staff to discuss any concerns about a particular travel destination.
