Exclusive Global Dining Experiences
Trouvaille Travel and Wendy Gauthier, Tucson’s 2019 Iron Chef Champion and owner of Chef Chic AZ (https://chefchicaz.com), are teaming up to offer exciting and exclusive dining experiences in the Tucson Metro Region, beginning in April 2020.
Imagine getting together with a group of close friends or colleagues and being treated to a gourmet, ethnically-inspired, multi-course meal that will whisk you away and around the world. Wendy’s chef skills and talent will be apparent as you enjoy the cuisines of the world, learn about the places where Trouvaille travels, and embark on a three-hour dining sensation.
Dates below subject to change due to COVID-19. We will begin the dining series once the pandemic is over.
Single events are limited to 25 people. Reservations online are first come, first serve. The complete schedule with dates and menus will be available soon, but goes as follows:
- June 25, 2020: Irish and Manx cuisine from Ireland and Isle of Man. Location: Chef Chic Restaurant, 1104 South Wilmot Road, Tucson, AZ 85711. 5-8 pm.
- Menu for June 25. Course 1: Irish Beer Cheese Soup. Course 2: Irish Poached Scallops with Leeks and Peas. Course 3: Whiskey-Braised Lamb Shanks over Colcannon. Dessert: Irish Apple Cake with Custard Sauce.
- August 7, 2020: St. Lucia and the Caribbean. Live music provided by the Allegre Son Afro-Cuban Ensemble.
- October 15, 2020: The Cook Islands and Polynesia. Location: TBD. Music: TBD.

Arizona Mines & Wines!
Explore the wild west history of Arizona and learn about the life, the work, and the minerals of 19th Century Arizona miners. In the morning, we’ll trek to Bisbee, Arizona, and go on a guided tour of the Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum followed by an amazing descent into the Queen Mine. Learn what’s been mined, how it’s mined, and the colorful history of the area’s mining industry.
In the afternoon, we’ll have lunch at The Cafe’ in Sonoita, followed by winery visits to Dos Cabezas Wine Works and Sonoita Vineyards. We will explore each winery, go on guided tours, sample their wines, and learn about the development of the wineries in the area.
This day trip includes wine-themed welcome gifts, door-to-door local transportation from Tucson to Bisbee to Sonoita and back to Tucson, admission and tour fees for all musuems and wineries, wine tastings at the wineries, lunch at The Cafe’ in Sonoita, and loads of fun! This day trip is available for groups of 5 or more people. Available Thursday through Sunday, and as arranged.
Hot Air Balloon Rides
Soar into the desert skies of southern Arizona in a hot air balloon ride! From every October until April, you can take to the skies and see the beauty of the desert from the air. Taking off from the Marana airport and floating aloft for 45 minutes, you’ll get that eagle-eye perspective that will remind you why hot air balloon rides are an experience all their own.
Imagine gliding gracefully across the sky about 2000 feet up — with amazing views of the Catalina Mountains, Tortolita Mountains, the entire Tucson metro area, and more! Be sure to bring your camera as the views are amazing in those clear desert skies that let you gaze for miles around.
Shared balloon rides are available for 6-10 people and cost $250 per person. Flights typically occur at dawn. Exclusive balloon rides for two people are also available for special occasions, but please contact us in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org to check on availability.

Sonoita Wineries Extravaganza
Your group will enjoy a fun and relaxing day trip to southern Arizona where we will explore the Sonoita Wineries. We will greet you at the pickup destination(s) of your choice, get everyone onboard, and begin the drive to Sonoita. During the hour-long transit, everyone will receive their Trouvaille gift bag full of wine-themed goodies that are yours to keep. Our stops during the stay will be to Sonoita Vineyards, Dos Cabezas Wine Works, Callaghan Vineyards, and Lightning Ridge Cellars. For lunch, we will dine at The Cafe’, a well-known local eatery where we fill up on great food and conversation! At each winery, enjoy tastings of the local wines, learn about the wine-making process, and explore each winery, its history, and how it all started. This is a great day “away from it all” to relax, enjoy, and learn about Arizona wines.

Explore the Cosmos at Kitt Peak National Observatory
Trouvaille invites you to spend a day exploring the cosmos with a day trip to Kitt Peak National Observatory. This all-inclusive trip includes astronomy-related goodies, local transportation (pickup and dropoff at your home or hotel), a specially-curated lunch, two tours at Kitt Peak, a visit to the Kitt Peak Visitors center, and free time to stroll around the Kitt Peak complex.
Your Trouvaille host will be planetary scientist, Dr. Paul Hardersen, who has spent almost two decades studying asteroids, investigating what they’re made of, and how are they are related to meteorites that fall to the Earth. He will be providing his expertise and guidance during this exciting and educational event.
This day trip is available for groups of 5 or more people. Available daily, and as arranged, when the visitor center is open. The visitor center is open from 9 am – 3:45 pm and our day trip must coincide with the visiting hours of the observatory.
