As Trouvaille gazes around our local, national, and global communities, as well as the overall travel industry, we are quickly coming to the realization that one of the implicit, fundamental goals that we are trying to accomplish is to bring people together. People around the globe share a deep, common bond of humanity, but often don’t have the ways and means to share that common humanity. Whether due to location, life situation, income, or some other reason, many people don’t get to explore much beyond their community that they call home. How can we help to change that? One way we are trying to help is to focus on young adults. Giving college students and the 18-30 year old crowd access — financially and materially — to travel across the U.S. and abroad. We are working to promote the global view of the next generation by offering our Student PassPort for eligible college students. We hope to offer more ways to help young adults fulfill their desire to travel and explore, but this is our first effort. However, we need to do more. In development now is an online Trouvaille travel forum, which is being designed for travel enthusiasts, frequent travelers, people who don’t have the ability to travel, and people who are ready to travel. We are going to design this forum in an effort to develop a real, authentic, vibrant travel community of people who want to share, to learn, and to reach all the way around the world — virtually and in reality. Forum members don’t need to go on Trouvaille trips, they don’t need to be members, they don’t have to do anything but join the community, share, learn, and become engaged. We think it’s the least we can do to bring us all together. Expect this forum to be online sometime in January 2018.
