Asteroid Day 2017 and Trouvaille

Asteroid Day 2017 recently passed by and Trouvaille’s CEO, Dr. Paul Hardersen, was interviewed on Prairie Public Radio to discuss the threat of asteroid impacts and … Trouvaille! You can listen to the interview here:  http://www.prairiepublic.org/radio/mainstreet?post=70342  When teaching at UND Space Studies, I would ask students where they would want an asteroid to impact Earth if an impact was a guaranteed certainty. Where would you choose it to hit? Where would it produce the least damage to people, civilization, and our global society? Think about it. I’d choose an intra-continental location with a minimum population as one of the better choices (Interior Australia? Northern Manitoba, Canada? Siberia, Russia? Somewhere else?) Send your comments and suggestions to me at: paul@trouvailletravel.org.   Fun fact: There are ~1800 asteroids currently classified as “potentially hazardous” based on their estimated sizes and how close they pass by Earth in their orbits. And that number keeps growing because we keep looking for them … fortunately!  That makes me think about what else makes Trouvaille unique compared to other travel companies. We not only focus on all-inclusive, global, experiential travel, but we also integrate education and informal learning about each place we visit along with the fun and excitement of the exploration that we undertake. Science, nature, fun, learning, exploring — it really all does go together. So be an explorer, join Trouvaille, and set your course for a distant horizon with us! Trouvaille website: https://www.trouvailletravel.org
